Sandra Shevey is a 68 year old cultural historian. She is a BFI Associate Tutor who lectures about film in London at the National Portrait Gallery, the Barbican Cinema, the V&A, the Criterion Theatre, the Foresight Theatre and the St. Martin`s reference library where she also curates film exhibitions. Shevey promotes sustainability and blogs about saving traditional street markets. Shevey`s documentary about saving London`s ancient markets is award-nominated. The documentary 2007 conceived, written, narrated, directed and produced by Shevey profiles 4 charter London markets under threat: Smithfield, Spitalfield, Covent Garden and Borough. Shevey has just reissued `The Marilyn Scandal` and has released a CD `Ten of the Best`, soundbites of interviews with Alfred Hitchcock, Jack Lemmon, Jane Russell, Phil Silvers, Ray Bradbury and others.
